Five Meals in a Day (at least ^_^)

Seafood mee with lots of veg and fish and sotong slices!

Must have balanced diet, so here comes the chicken! Mmmm smells soooo good!

Poor hubby is bored "Gotta accompany my hungry wife for supper every night ... "

I've been trying to track exactly how much i eat in a day. It is starting to get into a routine.

I would have breakfast, but usually there's Part 1 (taken at abt 8am) and Part 2 (at 10am). Ok please let me consider this as ONE meal ^_^ Lunch can't be later than 12pm otherwise i would be growling. There must be a tea break at 3pm, then dinner at 6pm, and finally SUPPER at 10pm.

So yes, five meals in a day. I read a poll on one of the baby websites and >30% of pregnant women eat as much as i do ... hehe ... so i'm not alone. Hubby is doing really well lately. He doesn't eat with me anymore, he just sits there looking at me eat. Well that's good news, at least he won't look as pregnant as i do as time goes by.

Yeah ... just finished my yummy mee and wings. All satisfied, and time to *oink* ~~

End of First Trimester

Yoohoo! ~~ Today marks the end of the first trimester! I'm feeling like i graduated or something .. haha. Very thankful that the horror stories i heard have not happened:

a. Waking up in the middle of the night and craving for penang char kuey teow or ipoh hor fun (eric's chuckling in the background)
b. Having the toilet bowl as my best friend (Thank God no morning sickness!!)
c. High affinity or aversion for certain foods
d. Breakouts on the face

Certain changes did seize me though in the past months:

a. I eat like a cow now (i'm getting more expensive to upkeep)
b. Physical state depreciates (yes, getting tired and FAT)
c. I don't like junk food as much as in the past (which is actually a good thing!)
d. I get to bully my hubby in the name of "emotional changes" (HAHA i LOVE this one)

Thank you Lord Jesus for His protection over me and the little one. Cheers to the journey onward! :)

Installation Ceremony

The weekend was a hectic, but joyful one. Eric was officially installed as a full time Assistant Pastor for our church on Sunday 25May. It was just a short 30 mins' affair, with pastors and elders giving their exhortation, and Eric pledging his commitment to serve our eternal Lord and His sheep, till He comes again.

Feelings of thankfulness overwhelmed me. It is unspeakable joy to know that we can serve the Lord with our lives, and that Eric can go full time. Of course, with responsibility comes sacrifice, but it is the true God we are serving, and our reward is not of this earth!

"But whatever was to my profit i now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, i consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake i have lost all things." Philippians 3:7-8

We are delighted to have friends coming to share this moment of joy: David and Tim from the US, Yap from KL and Joseph from Penang. Their presence and words of encouragement are really precious gifts to us.

The Lord Jesus says in John 10:11, 14 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I know my sheep and my sheep know me." We dedicate our lives to follow the Chief Shepherd, our Lord Jesus Christ, and may He teach us how to serve His sheep and to lay down our all for His sheep. Amen!

As with One Voice

I'm so thankful for having the opportunity to sing for our Lord!

Woahaha ~~ Even Eric has a flower, and a bright orange one!! (btw he was too shy to hold it ^_^)

Thanks so much for the lovely flowers! I love that pink!!

Finally, the time has come on 24May to sing in the Hallelujah Oratorio Society concert "As with One Voice" in St Andrew's New Sanctuary!! We have been practising really hard for the past months and i was just so excited that we're sharing the lovely music with an audience!

It has been a blessing to join the HOS choir for the past 7 months. The songs have helped me memorized a lot of scripture since most of the lyrics were taken directly out of the bible. I also learnt a lot under Rev Lee's conducting and rehearsing techniques. I pray that i can continue to serve God in this way. May the baby also enjoy the music in the comfort of my tummy! Woahaha ~~~

Thanks to Yu'An, Jerry, Wenling and Meiling who came to support us, and bought us the lovely flowers! I haven't received flowers for a long time (read: eric has not bought me any ^_^) so i am overjoyed ... hehe ... thank you thank you! ~

Happy Birthday to Rene! ~

YAY! ~ Another birthday celebration on 23May! May is a monthful of babies! We thank Pastor BQ for her hospitality as we messed up her lovely home ^_^ She was really kind to prepare so much food for the whole gang!

Sister Rene is a wonderful sister; she cares a lot for all in the group and never fails to pray for us and with us. We pray O God to bless her richly in every way as she seeks the Lord in all that she does! Happy Birthday!

Jumping Jack or Jacqueline

Ok the picture's a little blurry but we're happy to get a full frontal view (like the baby is smiling hehe). Look and see if you can spot the head, eyes, nose, mouth and hands! Looks like baby has a sharp chin (like me!!) Lucky not like father got double chin wahaha

Baby is at 11 weeks and we went for the routine gynae check. The baby is almost fully developed by now at about 5cm with a big head, eyes, nose, mouth, fingers, feet and spinal cord! We even heard the baby's heartbeat at 174 beats/min!

The scan showed the baby sitting on the bum. Doctor says baby is sleeping and shook my tummy a little bit to wake baby up, but baby still no reaction, sleeping like a pig ^_^ Doctor then says give a little cough which i did, and hey! the baby responded and woke up!!

The hilarious part was we saw baby jumping up and down kicking the legs and even stretching the arms to "wave" at us!! It's really amazing that a life that small is already so active! i really couldn't held back but laugh really hard because it was just so funny to see something "toing toing toing"!! After a while, guess baby is tired and finally sat down on bum again and sucked the thumb. Message "Ok i've entertained you adults enough, now buzz off and let me go back to dreamland".

Thank God that baby is growing well and it was so much fun looking at the delicate movements. The other good news was the 5cm cyst on my right has miraculously disappeared on its own; the 4cm one on my left has now shrunk to 1.6cm. I am really thankful to God for His protection and for answering our prayers. Will continue to pray for the cyst to go off completely on its own.
