Cradle Cap

Sob, look at my cradle capped brows

Ta-Da! Don't i look so good now when the flakes are gone?

Does your baby have cradle cap?

Cradle cap is charaterized by thick, yellow, greasy scales which are caused by overactive oil glands. They are usually found on the scalp, but can also grow on the eyebrows or eyelids. No particular treatment is required as cradle cap is harmless.

Baby Charis had a mild case of cradle cap on both her brows. I just left them alone until I received advice to apply some baby oil on them and then gently rub the flakes off. I had not dared to do that previously because i was afraid i would hurt baby by rubbing her skin, but i received ful assurance this is ok so i went on ahead to try.

I dabbed some baby oil using a cotton ball onto both brows, and voila! ~ The flakes did come out quite easily! I continued to do this for two days. The skin appeared red for a while but now the flakes are gone and the princess looks better!

If you have the same situation, try this simple and effective treatment! :)
