Dinner Fellowship @ SK
We've started to make Tuesdays my cooking practice days too. The guinea pigs? My church brothers and sisters, whom so willingly come to be "slaughtered" haha.
Tonight we had the brothers gracing the event. I did a pumpkin with dried shrimp, salted fish bone with fatty meat, stew chicken with potato and fried kai lan. I'm very happy that they enjoyed the food and one of them even wants to 拜師學藝!Aiyoh 不敢當 leh!
It's great to have home fellowship where we share one another's joys and burdens, and finally laying it all down at Jesus' feet through prayer and petition. We thank the Lord for a warm cosy fellowship and we look forward to more such affairs!

If you look at the itinerary you would understand why i was pretty dead beat: Met at 5am on Sat > coach to Senai > Fly from JB to KL > Fly from KL to Bintulu > Coach from Bintulu to Miri > Fly from Miri to Senai > Coach from JB back to Singapore arriving 9pm on Monday.
I am really really really thankful to the Lord for this great opportunity to serve Him with the choir. I also got to know the choir members better. Installation Ceremony
Feelings of thankfulness overwhelmed me. It is unspeakable joy to know that we can serve the Lord with our lives, and that Eric can go full time. Of course, with responsibility comes sacrifice, but it is the true God we are serving, and our reward is not of this earth!
"But whatever was to my profit i now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, i consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake i have lost all things." Philippians 3:7-8
We are delighted to have friends coming to share this moment of joy: David and Tim from the US, Yap from KL and Joseph from Penang. Their presence and words of encouragement are really precious gifts to us.
The Lord Jesus says in John 10:11, 14 "I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. I know my sheep and my sheep know me." We dedicate our lives to follow the Chief Shepherd, our Lord Jesus Christ, and may He teach us how to serve His sheep and to lay down our all for His sheep. Amen!
As with One Voice
Woahaha ~~ Even Eric has a flower, and a bright orange one!! (btw he was too shy to hold it ^_^)
Thanks so much for the lovely flowers! I love that pink!!Finally, the time has come on 24May to sing in the Hallelujah Oratorio Society concert "As with One Voice" in St Andrew's New Sanctuary!! We have been practising really hard for the past months and i was just so excited that we're sharing the lovely music with an audience!
It has been a blessing to join the HOS choir for the past 7 months. The songs have helped me memorized a lot of scripture since most of the lyrics were taken directly out of the bible. I also learnt a lot under Rev Lee's conducting and rehearsing techniques. I pray that i can continue to serve God in this way. May the baby also enjoy the music in the comfort of my tummy! Woahaha ~~~
Thanks to Yu'An, Jerry, Wenling and Meiling who came to support us, and bought us the lovely flowers! I haven't received flowers for a long time (read: eric has not bought me any ^_^) so i am overjoyed ... hehe ... thank you thank you! ~
Happy Birthday to Rene! ~

YAY! ~ Another birthday celebration on 23May! May is a monthful of babies! We thank Pastor BQ for her hospitality as we messed up her lovely home ^_^ She was really kind to prepare so much food for the whole gang!
Sister Rene is a wonderful sister; she cares a lot for all in the group and never fails to pray for us and with us. We pray O God to bless her richly in every way as she seeks the Lord in all that she does! Happy Birthday!

Filial Piety Sunday
The church organized a lunch for us to bring our families as an expression of our love for them. Our own brothers and sisters presented wonderful items which brought a lot of joy and laughter to all. Catch all the action here! http://picasaweb.google.com/tbcalbum/FilialPietySunday?authkey=m_o8Yu0CpAU
Thank God for giving us our parents, whom have loved us selflessly in every way. The bible teaches us in the fifth commandment that comes with a promise "Honor your father and your mother, that you may have long life". To honor our parents is not merely showering them with gifts or monetary things, but to obey them, to love them, is what God requires us to do.
Even more so, our Father in heaven loves us so much that He gave His One and Only Son our Lord Jesus Christ to die for our sins on the cross that we might have life, and have life to the fullest. I thank God for this wonderful love!

Balik Kampong
By God's grace, He has opened the way for us to share the materials with fellow believers in North Malaysia. We are expecting around 40 sunday school teachers being equipped by the course, and subsequently teaching the bible to their sunday school students. If each teacher has 10 students, we hope this will be a blessing to at least 400 students!!
They flew out today and will be back on Saturday. I would have loved to tag along but air travel is not advisable in the first trimester. We covet your prayers for a spirit of keen learning from the participants, and that the Lord may open spiritual hearts and minds to understand the truths and to enable ability to pass it on. May all glory be to our Lord!

Convocation
11May now has a significant meaning for both eric and i. On this day, by the grace of God, eric graduated from the Singapore Bible College with a Diploma in Christian Ministry!! He will start serving as a full time Assistant Pastor in the church with immediate effect.
We can still clearly remember the questions we had one year ago: where should eric study? what does it mean to move to Singapore? will he survive in SBC? which church would we serve in? what does the future hold for us?
Trust and obey, as the lovely familiar hymn goes, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus. Indeed, we made every step in the past year with nothing but faith, and the Lord has blessed us richly in every way. Helping us settle down in Singapore, enabling eric into SBC, equipping him in His Word, bringing us to serve in a new church, giving eric the privilege to serve Him full time, in all things we saw the mighty Hand of God leading us like a pillar of cloud by day and fire by night.
Personally, i am so thankful for the Lord's grace. I still remembered a prayer which i did in my younger days: O Lord, i pray that i will marry someone who loves You. God is a very humourous God, He answered my prayer in multiple folds, and gave me someone who is willing to serve full time! I'm overwhelmed with joy that we have this privilege to serve our King of kings! This is a lesson precious for me, that i should be watchful as I pray, because the Lord always answers in abundance! Haha ~~

Church Outing to Kota Rainforest Resort
You can catch fish along the streams or just admire the wonders of nature.
I was kinda afraid that my flip flops would get stucked in between the planks!
It's May Day! And the church took this excellent opportunity to arrange for a one day trip to Kota Tinggi. Many of us would be familiar with the waterfall, but Kota Tinggi Rainforest?
The coach left at around 615am where many of us are still half awake but thank God customs was ultra smooth and we reached the holiday destination around 930am. It's got nice quaint wooden chalets; a scenic quiet getaway place!
If you are game enough, you can take the mountain climbing trail and explore the rainforest. Of course your tai tai over here just sat around chatting with friends and waiting for the next tea break to happen ^_^Actually i gawked at my expanding waistline when i saw my own pictures. AHHHHHH the perils of pregnancy ~~~
